Short Review: So usually you read any zombie book and they're stuck back in the 1990's with no internet/phones/ cool tech, but this zombie book said eff that, have way better tech than we do now, but somehow RadioShack is still in business..... I really liked Georgia, she was a straight shooter and was in the news to report the actual news which especially with what is going on in the world as the time i'm writing my review (covid-19), really hits home about how the news can make or break things. SPOILER: i think it's 100% fucked up that Georgia was killed, i really didn't like Shawn too much, he's a typical boy that really does just go poking shit with sticks for fun, so i doubt i'll read book 2 any time soon

Short Review: I love funny AIs or just AIs that are crazy/funny. M-bot was a hoot, he better be in the next book. The main character was okay, she whined a bit too much, and she flipped flopped so much, like act like a bitch and own it or just shut the fuck up, you can't just keep doing/saying dumb/bitchy shit and then taking it back right away or feeling bad about it. SPOILER: I didn't really like the ending, for one, they barely explain the damn defect, and what the fuck are the Krell, like i'm still so confused. and how the fuck did they just switch someone in her dad's brain to fuck shit up. like how does that work!

Short Review: Again, how can anyone like these books?! The MC gets dumber and dumber in each book. So book 2 ends SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with Thomas' body being discover. *cue dramatic music* So you would think the MC who was so in love with this kid, never mind the fact that she date another guy with Thomas was still "missing", would be so distraught and a mess right? Meh she was upset for a bit, and by a bit i'm talking like a week at max, then she was moving on to his best friend/roommate, yah you read that right. And the fucker did the whole line "Thomas never know what he had when he had you...". So our MC basically jumps into bed with this dude, A WHOLE FREAKING WEEK AFTER HIS BODY WAS FOUND. I just wanted Demeter to be knocked down some pegs real quick, but later on, not so much. The whole "romance" bit thou, not believable to me, yah they f**ked a few times, but it felt so much more like a fling then what it turned out to be. The ending was too quick for my liking, the building up was so great and the details were there, but then it was like 15pgs of ending, like this book is huge, you could have given more to that other than just (view spoiler) Overall a good book by one of my fav authors.

New Year, New You?

HAPPY NEW YEAR XD

I hope everyone had a safe new year!

Let's talk reading challenge :)

My 2016 Goodreads challenge! I had a goal of 300!

I would say I nailed it!

I am a bit sad thou, at the beginning of November, I was on track to do 600 but a slump hit me crazy hard. Oh well.

2017 Challenge!

This year I want to focus on some other things besides reading, but you know me, I can't not read so here's is my goal for 2017!

Did you complete your 2016 goal?! What did you set your 2016 goal at?!

How I Read So Much: Part 1

I am asked so many times how i read as much as i read.

So here i am giving away my secrets ;)

(i doubt they will impress anyone thou)

In Part 1 i will share: Where i get my books!

Ready for crazy secret #1!?

I only own about 10 books!

Total.

That's it.

10

Maybe 12 but that's a high estimate

Crazy right. So now you're thinking, wait how do you read 500+ books then!?

LIBRARIES BABYYYYY

Where i live, we have a county library system

Which has 5 different branches, so that's a ton of copies of books. I put holds on ones from across the county and they bring it to the one by my house. They have pretty much every book i ever want to read, thou it takes about a month from the release date til they get it in, so that stinks.

Then the city i live in has it's own library as well!

The city library is more of a local hang out, it's right by the high school, so no one really goes there to get books, but they make so much off their snack bar that they get all the new releases like within a week of the release date and no hold lines since no one reads there.

And to top that, both use apps for e-books/audio!

County library uses:

where i get 6 loans for e-books/audio books each month

and

where i have unlimited loans for kindle/audio books

and

which has unlimited e-book loans

City library uses:

Which i get 8 loans each month

and

which has unlimited audio book loans.

I also receive ARCs from NetGalley and receive digital copies of books from winning my book club's challenge each month.

So that's it in a nutshell of where i get all the books i read!

Did that impress you?!

I can not wait for this to come out!

Short Review: Oh cozy mystery. First, Edna, my favorite character for sure, she "accidentally" does a lot of things i like! I liked the MC, bit of a wimp at first, but you grow to like her and she grows as well. I am eager to see how the mass turns out. The ending... i saw it coming, but i didn't see how deep it was going to be. Everyone got their karma in the end, which i always like. Norma Jean is a riot, "You know i like my mt dew with breakfast". I like the hint of romance between the MC and Rufus' owner! The ending was a bit too quick for me, she really ramped up the mystery, then just cleaned it up quick.

Short Review: I forgot how much i hate almost every character in this book. i like it thou because i can yell at them and feel better about my life since i'm not as big of a bitch as they are. First we have the MC, Elizabeth, self entitled little B. Forced into an engagement, she does take it well, but cries about her "lover" William too much, he left, asked you to come, you refused, you lost the right to cry. Second, we have the MC's best friend, Penelope. Probably the worse of the lot. She pretty much wants to ruin Elizabeth after finding out her "boyfriend" is who Elizabeth is engaged to. Maybe she should be more focused on how much of a drunk/whore your "boyfriend" is instead. Fourth we have the MC's sister, Dana. Doesn't give a shit about anything, and sneaks out to meet with her sister's fiancee. Classy. Fifth, we have Henry the fiancee, whore, drunk, has a gambling problem, all around douche. Last we have this maid girl Lana, who is upset because she couldn't force Will to love her and wants to ruin Elizabeth as well. Fun stuff all around. The ending, it's hard to say who did it, but everyone has a motive so....

It was very cool to have "Words from dead guy" in the story as well. It was nice to have Charlie's input after the fact. The whole animal thing was a bit much for me, but i guess it's better than beating up some people. This books does a good job of depicting the pressures of turning out like your parents, and how things can spiral out of control pretty fast. It was very fast pace and i enjoyed reading it. I just didn't like the creepy 23yr old.

Short Review: So i don't like Harry Potter. Yah i know, "what the hell", but i didn't read all the books, nor the movies and i really don't want to either. Sorry, but not really sorry. Harry in this play was a horrible person, bottom line. He was rude to Albus, not so great to Ginny, and didn't treat anyone with respect. I was on Draco's side most of the time *gasp*. It was nice to see Ron and Hermione flirting, we don't get to see that much in the books, which made their "love" kinda not believable for me to follow. I hated Albus, he was a brat, almost as bad as his dad. It was a nice addition to the world of Harry Potter.

But why? Who was that boy, and what happened that was too devastating to live with? And even if she gets the answers she’s looking for, will she ever be able to feel like a whole person again?

Henry Page has never been in love. He fancies himself a hopeless romantic, but the slo-mo, heart palpitating, can't-eat-can't-sleep kind of love that he's been hoping for just hasn't been in the cards for him—at least not yet. Instead, he's been happy to focus on his grades, on getting into a semi-decent college and finally becoming editor of his school newspaper. Then Grace Town walks into his first period class on the third Tuesday of senior year and he knows everything's about to change.

Grace isn't who Henry pictured as his dream girl—she walks with a cane, wears oversized boys' clothes, and rarely seems to shower. But when Grace and Henry are both chosen to edit the school paper, he quickly finds himself falling for her. It's obvious there's something broken about Grace, but it seems to make her even more beautiful to Henry, and he wants nothing more than to help her put the pieces back together again. And yet, this isn't your average story of boy meets girl.
